The guitar is all original with no modifications or repairs. The solid spruce top is clean with just minor swirl marks — the kind of light surface wear you'd expect from a guitar that's been played and cared for. The tortoiseshell pickguard has some light scratches, and there are a few scratches on the rosewood bridge as well. Beyond that, the mahogany back, sides, and neck all present beautifully with no notable wear. Hardware and electronics are fully functional — tested and everything works as it should. Frets show no significant wear visible.

Weighs in at 4 lbs 10 oz.

Includes a standard Yorkville dreadnought hardshell case (non-original).

Epiphone's Limited Edition EJ-160E is the company's take on one of rock and roll's most storied acoustic-electric designs. The original Gibson J-160E hit the market in 1954 as one of the first acoustic-electric guitars ever produced, and it went on to become one of the most recognized acoustics in popular music — most famously as John Lennon's go-to composing and recording guitar throughout the Beatles era. This Epiphone version follows the same slope-shouldered dreadnought contours as the original, built with a solid spruce top over a select mahogany body, with an Epiphone Stacked P-100 humbucking pickup seated discreetly at the end of the fingerboard. The result is a guitar that works as a genuine acoustic when unplugged and delivers that unmistakable J-160E plugged-in character through an amp — warm, woody, and surprisingly feedback-resistant at volume. The mahogany neck has Epiphone's comfortable 1960s SlimTaper D-profile, joined to the body with a traditional dovetail, and the rosewood fingerboard carries the vintage-correct pearloid trapezoid inlays. It's a lot of guitar for the money, and with a solid spruce top that will only open up more over time, it's one that rewards being played regularly.

Body: Slope-Shouldered Dreadnought
Top: Solid Spruce
Back & Sides: Select Mahogany
Neck: Select Mahogany, "1960s" SlimTaper D-Profile, Dovetail Joint
Fingerboard: Rosewood, Pearloid Trapezoid Inlays
Fingerboard Radius: 12"
Scale Length: 24.75"
Nut Width: 1.68" (Bone)
Frets: 20, Medium
Bridge: Rosewood, Reverse Belly Design
Saddle: Compensated Bone
Pickguard: Imitation Tortoise with '60s-Era Metal "E" Logo
Pickup: Epiphone Stacked P-100 Humbucking
Controls: Master Volume, Master Tone (Top Hat Knobs with Metal Inserts, 500K Pots)
Tuners: Epiphone "Deluxe," 18:1 Ratio
Hardware: Nickel
Binding: Body Top — 5-Ply (Ivory/Black), Body Back — 1-Ply (Ivory), Fingerboard — 1-Ply (Ivory)
Output: Epiphone Heavy-Duty 1/4" Jack, Rim-Mounted
Finish: Natural Gloss
